 Murray
Estate is a small vineyard and winery about 7km from Mulwala
on the Barooga Road overlooking the Murray River.
The name Murray was chosen, not for the obvious,
but because Murray is my Mothers family name. The vineyard
was established early in 1997 and Stage 1 of the winery has
just been built. My wife Sue and I planted the vineyard from
scratch over three years and we picked our first vintage in
March 2000. Few people get the opportunity to see their dream
come true, for us, crushing our first vintage was that moment.
Murray Estate is proud to be associated with
the Goulburn Murray Waters Winegrowers' Association who bring
you the 'Wine Lovers' Guide', comprising of 5 wineries, so
you can visit the area and make a day of it. The 5 wineries
are Murray Estate, Monichino Wines, Heritage Farm Wines, Strathkellar
Wines and Fyffe Field Wines. For a map of the location of
